Breakfast

The breakfast menu is below but I thought a wee chat with Bed & Breakfast newcomers might be fun. The first thing you'll notice when you arrive at a B&B is that it looks like someone's home; it is! And every one is different.
Many, like A Rose on Colonel By, have a separate part of the house for guests so you, and we, feel like we have our own space. Some welcome guests right into the family's life and lifestyle. The breakfasts vary too--some offer menus that guests choose from, while others, like A Rose on Colonel By, offer a pre-set menu that is planned ahead of time. That's why it is important to state your diet requirements in advance (our days start very early!). We offer a vegetarian menu but can serve bacon or sausages if informed 24 hours in advance.
Another big difference between the B&B experience and hotel stays is that we plan our day around your agreed to check-in time so if you're delayed, do call your host in good time so s/he doesn't miss an important personal function.
Enjoy the B & B experience!
